16 Low-shedding Dog Breeds (since it’s almost sheddin’ time!)
They say there are two things that are for certain: death and taxes. As a dog owner, I am going to add one more – shedding seasons. It happens twice a year. The first time is in the spring, then again in the fall. Those of us in the doggy world call it “blowing coat”. When you see the fur-bunnies blowing in the wind or around your house, it’s easy to see why ;-P Which is why some people research low shedding dog breeds when they are looking for a new dog.
So for those of you who might be considering a new dog addition to your family and are concerned about allergies (or just the housekeeping aspect of it!), here are some breeds that are low-shedders and hypoallergenic. Hypoallergenic simply means they have low dander, which equals low allergens. Don’t worry, if you’re not a “poodle person”, there are plenty of other options out there for you ;-P
