We Specialize in ALL types of Dog Aggression
At Dog Training In Your Home, we get called a LOT for dog aggression. Whether it is towards another dog, towards people, protecting their food or toy, or even testing the kids for their place in the pack, we’ve seen just about everything. With over 20 years’ experience, we’ve also had a lot of success stories! Last year, we did a 3-part video series that showed the progression of one of our clients that had an aggressive dog. This post brings all the videos together, in one place, just for you 🙂 Believe me, we’ve seen worse cases, but at least you can get a feel that there is hope for your dog if it is showing some sort of aggression.
Part 1: The Beginning
As you can hear from the audio, this client called us because they didn’t know their dog was aggressive until they tried to board him, and the kennel didn’t want to take him because of his biting. This is the BEGINNING of their first lesson to determine the level of aggression the dog has. Our trainer is simply holding the leash for his safety, and using a sleeve to see how intent the dog is on biting while protecting himself. He is NOT using the sleeve for agitation.

Part 2: Progress made on the FIRST lesson
This is the same client as above, but the end of the lesson. As you can see, the dog is still barking, but no longer lunging and biting. This was progress for this dog!
Part 3: Lesson 5
This client called us because they couldn’t take their dog out because it would lunge, bark and growl at people. Their own kennel wouldn’t take him because he would bite. After in-home training, the clients’ hard work/determination, and some group class socialization, he is able to be at a public park where people and other dogs walk by and not be aggressive. While he is still aware of people going by off-camera, he will follow commands and is getting rewarded for NOT being aggressive.
Part 4: Group Class Socialization
This client continued to come to their group classes (included with ALL our programs), and now you can see their dog NOT acting aggressive around other dogs and animals! SUCCESS!
